Frameplay Names Amy Venier as SVP, Supply Partnerships

Frameplay Corp September 20, 2022

SAN FRANCISCO — Sept. 20, 2022 — Frameplay, the global leader in enabling intrinsic in-game advertising, today announced that Amy Venier will serve as SVP, Supply Partnerships, heading up the brand’s rapidly expanding games team. In the newly-created role, Venier will cultivate strategic relationships with premium game studios to onboard mobile, console, and PC games and implement a product roadmap for gaming partners, while driving revenue.

“We’re on the cusp of a new era in advertising, with the future of ads undeniably within virtual environments like video games,” said Jonathon Troughton, CEO and co-founder of Frameplay. “Amy’s strong gaming background and experience developing scalable sales solutions for both established and emerging game studios makes her an ideal pick to lead Frameplay’s games team into this exciting next stage of growth.”

This is a pivotal moment for Frameplay to bring on a senior sales leader, as the video game advertising industry—and specifically the intrinsic in-game advertising category in which Frameplay operates—braces for massive growth. This year, 3.2 billion players will help the global games market generate $196.8 billion, yet the video game industry is still a relatively untapped market for advertisers. Frameplay has carefully chosen this moment to significantly expand its games team under Venier, contributing to the company’s 40 percent employee headcount increase in 2022.

As SVP, Supply Partnerships, Venier will build relationships with important new gaming partners that will be key to Frameplay’s future growth while maintaining existing relationships with major studios. She will be responsible for Frameplay’s quarterly and yearly games revenue goals, pipeline management and growth goals, and will serve as a key stakeholder in the development and implementation of a product roadmap for Frameplay’s gaming partners. Venier will also spearhead the growth of the games sales team, which will be tasked with driving revenue growth for both emerging opportunities and existing partnerships.

“Brands and game studios are leaning into opportunities surrounding video games and this broad, hyper-engaged demographic, and Frameplay is at the forefront — offering the industry scale, brand performance, and an enhanced experience within its ecosystem,” said Venier. “I’m excited to help build on the company’s success to-date, expanding Frameplay’s games division and collaborating with game studios on integrating seamless, non-disruptive advertising into their games.”

A 26-year-sales veteran, Venier boasts extensive experience selling cross-network marketing solutions within the gaming industry, including in previous leadership roles at Google, CBS Interactive, and Wired Magazine. At Google, she held the role of Head of Industry, Gaming before elevating to the head of partner management for Stadia, Google’s cloud gaming platform. She joins Frameplay from Fandom as VP/Gaming & Esports.
